English Signs Letter of Intent With Wyoming

Through hard work and determination, Beloit High School’s Jacob English was one of the top football players in the state of Kansas over the past two seasons. Coming into this past season, the recruiting service rivals.com had English as the eighth ranked overall prospect in the state of Kansas. English was a first team all-league selection in the NCAA at Offensive Line the last two seasons and was also a first team DL selection by the NCAA this season. English was also picked as a first team all-state OL by the Topeka Capital Journal and Wichita Eagle as a Senior.

His accolades continued as the season came to a close, and in early January, English was also selected to play in this summer’s Kansas Shrine Bowl in Emporia.

This morning, his high school journey culminated as he signed his letter of intent to play football for the Wyoming Cowboys, a Division I school in the Mountain West Conference. English officially signed at 7:00 this morning, and there was a public event at 10:00 this morning at Beloit High School.

KD Country 94 & Z 96.3 Sports had the chance to talk with English about his journey and the process of being recruited by a DI school. English explains that process.
