Three rural Cawker City residents were taken by ambulance to the Mitchell County Hospital yesterday following a 1-vehicle accident just north of Cawker City.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Crash Scene Report – a 2006 Chrysler Van driven by 44-year old Holly Louise Rhew was southbound on Cawker Lane when it exited the west side of the road. The driver overcorrected causing the vehicle to roll onto its top in the east ditch.
Rhew and her 2-children – 5-year old Charlie and 8-year old Gabriella – were transported to the Mitchell County Hospital. A family friend said all three were “OK”.
The accident took place just before 1:00 yesterday afternoon… and occurred about a mile north of Cawker City.
